My illustrator is extremely talented, as anyone who has visited the gallery will know. My question is this: How many people would like illustrated books and how many prefer their books without pictures? If there was a special deal available, would you consider getting both versions, so that you can enjoy my illustrator's beautiful work?
The reason behind my question is that I can write much faster than my illustrator can be expected to draw. I think The Independent Magician is likely to be ready before I have any illustrations for it, because it is flowing out of the pen. I value my illustrator's work, however, and would not want to continue to publish without working with them at all.
